TOUR GUIDE SIMON LONDON

For 16 years I’ve been exploring the fascinating area of East London as part of my fascination with Psychogeography.

You can see the fruits of some of these wanderings at Hackney Tours which is my vehicle for alternative tour guiding in a place where the ghost of rebels, reformers and radicals of yesteryear mix with a dynamic contemporary culture today. Today’s worldchangers manifest in the social enterprise ecosystem in places like Dalston. TEDx Hackney hired me to run one of these walks.

I’ve also written and performed a one-man show about how Pyschogeography leads me into volunteering with refugees in Calais and Ukraine.

As a walking artist, I’m half of the performance duo Promenade. We have created interactive experiences at places like Portland and Poole Museum.

I have also written for the Hackney Wick newspaper and appeared in various local press.
